This GIS format is used to conveniently exchange GIS coverage files. It has the extension E00 and increases incrementally (E01, E02…) with individual coverage files. Export functions in ESRI software assemble all the data and definition files relevant to a particular coverage, grid, or TIN (triangulated irregular network) into a single logical file.

It is the native format for several CAD packages including DraftSight, AutoCAD, BricsCAD, IntelliCAD (and its variants), Caddie and Open Design Alliance compliant applications.

I need the help of the GIS community for a question related to TIN. I have a DTM created with Covadis. My topo points are connected with triangle 3D face. Now, I would like to obtain exactly the same DTM but in a .TIN format in Arcgis (I would like to avoid to re-create an entire TIN in Arcgis as the work was already done in Covadis).
Take note of the units used to create the file. Navigate to Layer Manager, and turn on, unfreeze, or unlock any layers which are turned off, frozen, or locked.

Once the tool has been added to a toolbar, close the Customize dialog box. Click the new Convert Coverage Annotation icon, and a dialog box opens asking to select the annotation layer to convert.
The Browser Panel ¶. QGIS Browser is one of the main panels of QGIS that lets you quickly and easily add your data to projects. It helps you navigate in your filesystem and manage geodata, regardless the type of layer (raster, vector, table), or the datasource format (plain or compressed files, database, web services). Adding DGN or DWG data. The CAD files in DGN and DWG format are frequently used to store drawings of engineering projects. A single DGN or DWG file can encompass line, point, polygon, and annotation layers.

A DXF is a format created by Autodesk to facilitate the translation of CAD data from other programs to AutoCAD or vice versa, this matches our use case since we are trying to transfer data from AutoCAD to QGIS software. The DWG format is the native file format of Autodesk's AutoCAD software.

The DWG format is the most widespread format used to create and share CAD data. In addition to Autodesk's proprietary versions, several third-party variants are also common. The DXF format is an interchange format originally developed in 1982 by Autodesk for enabling interoperability with other software applications. But what if the vast majority of your data is still stored in DWG files, as raw geometry? How do you start migrating that data to a GIS data store? Fortunately, migrating large numbers of DWG objects to SDF format is now a simple process. You can use a standard export command to get your DWG data into SDF, exporting the objects by layer.
